Willow Night
Baltimore, Maryland
Author Willow Night wrote The Mystery of the Haunted House for her youngest children when they were in elementary school. She wanted them to read about siblings and friends having an adventure that felt like it could really happen.
Her chapter book mysteries feature siblings, cousins and friends solving mysteries and having adventures with clean language, good attitudes, and the use of science and technology.
From Willow Night:
As a child I always wished there would be a mystery to solve right in my own neighborhood. I've taken inspiration from The Boxcar Children and other books that feature children working together as a team.
My illustrated mysteries are written for 2nd-4th graders and are perfect for students who read Magic Tree House or Junie B. Jones. They also work as read-aloud books for younger kids.
